Isletan Images: A Photographic History of the Pueblo in the 19th Century
Isletan Images: A Photographic History of the Pueblo in the 19th Century is a traveling exhibit funded in part by the National Endowment for the Humanities and currently in development through a collaborative effort between the Pueblo of Isleta, the School of Human Evolution and Social Change and the ASU Museum of Anthropology. Isletan Images is the first traveling exhibit authored by a Pueblo community using photographs, oral narratives from Isletan elders, and ethnohistoric documentation to tell the story of a year in the life of Isleta in the 19th century. Isletan Images is scheduled to open at the Pueblo in Fall 2010. |
